The Donation Flow
Here is exactly what happens from the moment a donor clicks "Give" to when the money arrives in your church account.
1. Donor Visits Your Giving Page
Donors access your giving page at titheflow.org/give.php?church=your-slug or through the embed widget on your website.
2. Donor Selects Amount and Fund
They choose an amount (preset or custom), a giving frequency (one-time, weekly, or monthly), and a giving fund.
3. Payment is Processed by Stripe
The donor enters their card details. Payment is processed securely by Stripe — TitheFlow never stores card numbers.
4. Fees are Deducted
Two fees are deducted from the donation:
- TitheFlow platform fee: 1.5% of the donation
- Stripe processing fee: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
5. Funds Transfer to Your Church
The net amount is transferred directly to your connected church bank account via Stripe Connect. Stripe typically pays out within 2 business days.
6. Receipts are Sent
The donor receives an automatic email receipt. If you have donation notifications enabled, you will also receive an alert.
